Gurkha Park Avenue - Torpedo.
While my go-to is a pipe, there are certain scenarios, in my opinion, that a cigar makes much more sense. We took a day trip to Santa Barbara today to see my in-laws, which usually results in a lot of down time. Hanging out, eating, drinking, and when there is a beach involved - we sit around in the sun.
I personally am not a big fan of the beach, heat, sand, etc... So I opted to grab one of this cigars that have been in my humidor for some time. I bought a box of these about 2 years back during a sale.. And have always found them quite pleasant. Being that is was a bit of a windy day, I was happy with my choice.. A pipe would have been a bitch to keep lit (I should buy a wind cap), and if I had grabbed a more expensive cigar, I would have been angry that the wind created an uneven burn (yes I am using that as my excuse). This guy was perfect for the day. Mellow Flavor, not to peppery, burned pretty consistent, all around great go-to.
Hope you all had a great weekend, as we get ready for another week on the grind. Cheers.
