I’ve been wanting to read The $1,000 Project for quite some time, but being as it’s by an Australian author, I had a tough time finding it here in the US.
So you can imagine my surprise (and happiness!) when the author herself, @sugarmammatv reached out to me and offered to send me not only a copy of The $1,000 Project, but a copy of her newest book, Mindful Money, as well. Yes, please!!
I decided I would read them both and then pass the love on to two of YOU.
I’ve just finished The $1,000 Project, which is such a quick and easy read. I literally read it in a weekend. And I love the ideas she shares about saving up $1,000 parcels of money from something other than your full time regular job to then use for investing and generating passive income (or toward any financial goal you have, really). I also loved her idea of setting goals for passive income—something I’ve never thought to challenge myself on, but now I definitely will!! Some of what she shared didn’t directly apply to me as I’m in the US (so the discussion on Australia’s retirement system and stock market, while interesting, didn’t apply to me). But there are still so many good takeaways from this book even if you aren’t Australian!
So, now it’s time for me to pass The $1,000 Project on to one of YOU! (Mindful Money will come later, as soon as I’m done reading it!).
To enter, simply like this post and I’ll pick a winner at random this weekend.
Oh, and if you are in the US and can’t find these books, you can get them through The Book Depository. Have you read either of these yet? Or are they on your to-read list?
